Please note: With all tScheme‘s Approval Marks, you can authenticate them by clicking on the actual logo and this will always take you to the page on tScheme"s secure website that gives details of the relevant Grant of Approval.
There are currently four separate types of electronic trust service that may be considered for a tScheme Grant of Approval, each being awarded use of a specific tScheme Mark that designates the type of service approved. These are as follows:
Certificate-based services provided on a commercial basis, either for direct payment or as an indirect commercial benefit; where the intended relying parties are external to the customer's own organisation or user community. |
Identity services provided on a commercial basis, either for direct payment or as an indirect commercial benefit; where the intended relying parties are external to the customer's own organisation or user community. |
Trust services operating on a non-commercial basis within closed user groups, whose operators desire to implement best practice and to have independent, visible confirmation thereof through the award of an Approval Mark and where the relying parties are exclusively members of the same user community. |
Components of "approvable" trust services, submitted for approval against appropriate sets of Profile criteria, and which are intended to form elements of trust services to be offered by other service providers. |
NOTE: If you are offering or planning to offer a type of electronic trust service that appears not to be included here, please contact tScheme.
tScheme is committed to identifying, developing and approving best practice in all types of trust service as the market continues to evolve.
